My own miracle

(Retype in the book “Stop making excuses”)

“There are countless excuses for failure,

but there are no good excuses – MARK TWAIN”

Why are some people more successful than others? Why do some people make more money, live happier, and achieve more in the same amount of time than the vast majority of others? What is the true "secret to success"?

We all not only have the same desire, but also know what to do to achieve it. Furthermore, we have plans to fulfill those wishes at some point. But before we get to work, we decide that we need a little vacation in a fantasy land called “One-Day Island".

We say, “One day, I will read this book. One day, I will start that exercise program. One day, I will improve my skills and make more money. One day, I will take control of my finances and pay off my debt. One day, I will do everything I need to do to achieve my goal. "Someday!".

Approximately 80% of the population spends most of their lives on the “One-Day Island”. They think, dream, and imagine things they will do “one day”.

And who was with them on “One-Someday Island”? It is the other inhabitants of the island! And what is the main topic of discussion on “One-Day Island”? Are excuses! All of them "did nothing" and talked to each other about the excuses for their presence on this island.

"Why are you here?" they asked each other. And it's not surprising that they have pretty similar reasons: "I had an unhappy childhood", "I didn't get a good education", "I don't have money", "My boss is difficult." “I have an unhappy marriage”, “No one takes me seriously”, or “The economic situation is bleak”….

They all have the disease of "excuses", which silently kills success. They all have good intentions, but everyone knows, “Speak must be done, or else it will be just words in the wind”.

The first rule of success is simple: Get off the “One-Day Island”!.

Stop making excuses! Do or don't - don't make excuses. Don't come up with roundabout arguments or excuses for not taking action! Repeat this sentence over and over: “If that's what happens, I have to be the one to make it happen!”.

Losers make excuses, and successful people act. Now, how do you know if your excuses are right or wrong? Very simple. Look around and ask yourself, “Is there anyone else using the same excuse as me to achieve success?”.

If you're honest, when you ask this question, you'll admit that there are thousands or even millions of people in worse situations than you, but still do good things in their lives. And what so many people can do, you can do too – if you put in the effort.

If people work to achieve their goals as much as they justify failure, they will surprise themselves. But first, you have to get off the “One-Day Island” first.
