In the past few days, storm No. 3 (Yagi) has caused very heavy damage to the northern provinces of our country. The storm and its aftermath have left hundreds of people dead and missing; hundreds of thousands of hectares of rice, crops, and fruit trees flooded and damaged; hundreds of thousands of livestock and poultry have died; thousands of houses have been swept away or submerged in water. In Ninh Binh, heavy rains after the storm from upstream have flooded and isolated some areas of Nho Quan and Gia Vien districts. The damage caused by storm No. 3 is enormous. Currently, the lives of millions of people are extremely difficult, lacking food, clothing, and shelter...
The school's staff and teachers participated in donating to support people in the northern provinces affected by storm No. 3.
In the spirit of solidarity, "mutual love, mutual help", national sentiment, compatriotism, love and mutual assistance. Responding to the campaign of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, on the morning of September 16, 2024, during the flag-raising ceremony at the main campus of the Viet Xo Construction Electromechanical College and the Dong Thap Center for Admissions Support and Training Services, officials, employees and students (HSSV) jointly organized the Launching Ceremony for civil servants, employees and students to join hands and wholeheartedly support compatriots in the northern provinces affected by storm No. 3 (Storm Yagi). Immediately after the Launching Ceremony, the school's Board of Directors, representatives of units, organizations and student classes donated at least 01 day's salary for civil servants and employees and 20,000 VND for students. As of 5:00 p.m. on September 16, 2024, at the main campus of the Viet Xo Construction Electromechanical College - Tam Diep - Ninh Binh, donations had been received. 65,898,000 VND (including: Officials and workers: 43,348,000 VND; Students: 22,550,000 VND). At Dong Thap Center for Admissions Support and Training Services, donations were received. 16,743,000 VND (including: Officials and workers: 9,287,000 VND; Students: 7,456,000 VND). All the money raised by the School will be transferred to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province/city to send to the people affected by storm No. 3 as well as the families of students in the areas affected by natural disasters.
