Training Story – B1

TRAINING STORY

“Training refers to teach practical skills, good occupations knowledge related to a particular field, so that learners can comprehend and master the Knowledge, skills, job systematically, to prepare the person for life and for the ability to take on a certain job”. It is verbatim by definition in a dictionary.

So to be able to "take on a certain job", or do any profession, that person needs to be trained. In a time when society changes constantly and continuously, from science and technology to human thinking, it is not possible to train once to be able to "have enough capital" to work for a lifetime, live for a lifetime. A career that is not cultivated, honed, and updated will be eliminated. Moreover, in order to adapt to the changes in the fourth industrial revolution, the profession that is in vogue today may be lost in the future. So people are forced to find new careers. To have a new career, people must be trained in a new profession with new knowledge and new skills. Then we can see the depth of meaning of "learning society", "lifelong learning" that the whole world is doing. It's as natural as the wind that doesn't stop blowing, the clouds that don't stop flying, the air that doesn't stop moving.

“Learn while others sleep; labor when others are lazy; prepare when others roam; and have dreams when other people only dream"There's a saying like that. Therefore, it is necessary to "study, learn more, learn forever" to acquire new knowledge. On the contrary, if you are content with the knowledge you know and have learned, you accept to fall behind in the flow of knowledge that is billowing forward. But learning is learning what? Of course, scientific knowledge, professional skills, learning how to organize work, work methods to earn income to support yourself and your family. This is true, but something still seems to be missing – the key to distinguishing success from failure is in people who have almost the same knowledge, the same skills, the same experience. That is the most important factor: learning how to be human, to be human. People have a positive attitude in all the work they are doing, not scowling, scrutinizing every bit. People are committed, full of responsibility, imbued with professional ethics. People have the ability to analyze and synthesize to find the operating rules in a certain career field, and then apply creatively, skillfully, flexibly, and appropriately to new jobs and new fields. .

Training institutions, especially vocational schools, career-oriented centers, employment services... seem to be paying too much attention to providing a lot of knowledge, training to master a lot of skills. little attention is paid to sharing and communicating to learners about their attitude to life, attitude to work, and eliciting hidden positive emotions. No matter how profound knowledge and skills are, but thinking, thinking is not broad, easily accepting a quiet life alone, how can we work together as a team, stand together to operate a business? a job, a line, a machine? No matter how good the ability is, but negative emotions keep clinging inside, working energy drops, how can productivity be high?

The scientist of relativity summed it up: “We cannot teach anyone anything. We can only help them discover what is hidden within them.” What is still hidden is the positive emotions, awareness, and love in each person. Therefore, vocational training is first and foremost about evoking and activating the positive emotions that are hidden in learners, helping learners to have a positive and correct attitude towards life and work. Make the learners always remember that "attitude is more important than qualifications". In other words, qualifications are only a necessary condition, while attitude is a sufficient condition for success in work and life tomorrow.

That said, knowledge and skills can be communicated to each other by textbooks with definitions, concepts, formulas, etc., but how can attitudes be communicated? Qualification can be quantified by learning results with certificates, certifications, degrees, but attitude is something vague, difficult to define, measure accurately, only feel. . Humans only have a way of observing the lives of those around them, comparing the thoughts and actions of successful and unsuccessful people, asking why questions and finding answers.

Change in a person begins with his or her own thoughts and beliefs. Each person can remind themselves and each other that: “Sow a thought, reap an action. Sow action, reap a habit. Sow a habit, reap a character. Sow a character, reap a destiny."
